Fibre Fault Finding
Fault Finding is done to determine what the problem is on a network. After fault finding has been done the technician can inform and advice the client on what the problem is, and the best way to resolve the problem.
Fibre Optic Splicing
Fibre Optic Splicing is jointing or connecting 2 optical fibres with heat, with a fibre optic splice machine, ALSO called Fusion Splicing. Each fibre is prepaired and heated togetherwith a melting process. Each spliced fibre is protected by a splice protector. The splice protector is a heat shrinkable tube with a strenght membrane.
OTDR Testing
After Splicing has been done, the fibres need to be tested to evaluate the performance of the fibre optic cable and network or system. The wave lenghts tested on Single Mode cable is 1310,1550 and 1625, and on Multi Mode the wave lenghts are 850 and 1300. Fibrecon test SM 1310, 1550, MM850 and 1300

FibreCon is a small company with our vision on growing big in our industry. Professionalism is very important to us, therefor we believe our success depends on our client`s level of satisfaction. We are build on 10 years of extensive experience in the fibre optic industry. It was the owner`s decision to start his own company and he has been working in Angola for a period of 4 years assisting on the LNG Plant for Bechtel.
He also assisted Aggreko in Mozambique.

FAQ
Joining lengths of optical fiber is more complex than joining electrical wire or cable. The ends of the fibers must be carefully cleaved, and then carefully spliced together with the cores perfectly aligned.
An optical time-domain reflectometer (OTDR) is an optoelectronic instrument used to characterize an optical fiber. An OTDR is the optical equivalent of an electronic time domain reflectometer. It injects a series of optical pulses into the fiber under test.
